Description: Directions for customer assembly of the swing seat were not included with the products containing blue swing seats.

Units: About 1980 finished goods @ 2 swings per swing set. Date range used during pack-out: 10.24.08– 12.15.08

Hazard: Connections at the swing harness ends are not closed on the swing until final assembly by the customer. Failure to perform this step could result in injury during use.

if you have the blue belt swing, please read the assembly instructions below or click on one of the links at the bottom.

Assembly Instructions: IF YOUR SWING IS ALREADY ASSEMBLED REVIEW STEPS 2-4 AND MAKE SURE STEP 5 AND 6 ARE COMPLETED.

1) Hold the Swing Seat (A) vertically and insert the Uncoated Chains (B) through the channels on the bottom of the Swing Seat (A). Assembly Hint : A coat hanger may be used to help pull chain through the(B) swing seat.
2)A partial link of Uncoated Chains (B) should show at the end of the Swing Seat (A)
3) Place the last coated link of the Coated Chain (C) onto each Harness (D) and slide it to the top of the Harness (D)
4) Position Harness (D) vinyl hook openings facing to the outside of the Swing Seat (A) and insert the exposed links of Uncoated Chains (B) that is sticking out of the Swing Seat (A) on to the Harness (D) vinyl hooks.
5) Place Swing Seat (A) upside down. Crimp Harness (D) vinyl hooks closed by placing Harness (D) on a hard surface with hook openings up and hammering hooks closed. The openings can also be closed by squeezing with pliers
6) Inspect crimp - Close opening until parts are touching CAUTION: It is important that you crimp Harness (D) vinyl hook ends completely closed before using WARNING: Failure to crimp the hooks could cause the seat to disengage from the chain, and the child could fall. Improperly closed hooks could cause serious injury or deep cuts.
